The Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, following its periodic meeting, issued a statement in which it considered the million-strong funeral procession of the Imam and Martyr Sayyed Ali al-Husseini al-Khamenei (may his secret be sanctified) to be an unprecedented historic event. It affirmed the renewal of allegiance and loyalty to the Leader of the Nation, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and stressed that the “Framework Agreement” signed by the Lebanese authority with the enemy represents an “agreement of humiliation and shame” that must be reversed and annulled.
The Bloc said that Tehran and Qom embraced Karbala and Najaf, both as holy cities and as people, in expression of grief and in demonstration of loyalty to the Leader of the Nation, the Imam and Martyr Sayyed Ali al-Husseini al-Khamenei (may his secret be sanctified). It noted that the millions who participated in his funeral “have no parallel in history, neither in terms of the interaction between the leadership and the people, nor in terms of dimensions and significance.”
It added that the resistant Lebanese people insisted on accompanying the funeral rites in a stand of loyalty to the Imam who “always carried in his heart love and support for Lebanon.”
The Bloc viewed these days as embodying the “Days of God,” when the nation rose in the month of Muharram of Imam Hussein (AS) under the slogan “Rise for the sake of God,” to affirm its Husseini approach, and to bid farewell with loyalty, allegiance, and tears to its wise, self-sacrificing leader — the example of those “who were true to what they pledged to Allah and did not alter [their pledge] in the least.” After they stood firm on the battlefield and confronted American-Zionist arrogance, aggression, and tyranny, they led the nation along the path of jihad, glory, and dignity, and gave their lives in service of the causes of the oppressed. Thus they attained the glory of this world by carving their names in letters of light in the record of the eternal, and the good reward of the Hereafter as their pure souls ascended to Illiyeen and to the pleasure of the Lord of the Worlds.
While renewing its congratulations on the great martyrdom of the Imam of the Nation, its Leader and Guardian, the Bloc affirmed, alongside millions of free people who marched from around the world to participate in the blessed funeral, its pledge of allegiance, loyalty, and fidelity to the Leader of the Nation, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei. It stressed the continuation of the march of confronting the arrogant, aggressor, tyrant Americans and Zionists, and of building the nation’s capabilities and defending it, its dignity, and its progress.
The Bloc highly valued the stance of Iraq — its religious authority, government, people, forces and parties — who all converged together in a majestic scene of loyalty to bid farewell to the Imam and Martyr Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may his secret be sanctified). It considered this to have affirmed Iraq’s position rejecting American aggressive hegemony over the region and condemning this criminal aggression.
The Bloc also addressed a number of parliamentary and general affairs, and after discussion concluded with a set of positions, the most prominent of which:
The “Framework Agreement,” which it described as illegitimate, illegal, and in violation of the Constitution and the National Pact, signed between the Lebanese authority and the enemy, is facing nationwide cross-sectarian opposition representing the majority of Lebanese. It is an “agreement of humiliation and shame” that has inflicted grave damage on Lebanon’s strategic and vital interests, made it a complete hostage in the hands of the Zionist enemy, and delivered it as an easy victim and prey to Zionist ambitions.
The security annex to the “ill-fated” agreement revealed new and dangerous clauses, prompting a number of reserved forces and figures to break their silence and warn against the authority’s persistence in the strategic impasse into which it has dragged itself and Lebanon, considering that this came in response to Zionist dictates under American tutelage.
The Bloc viewed the authority’s attempts to cover up what it described as the “grave sin” through twisted and exposed tricks as no longer fooling anyone. It said the authority adopted a regressive, surrendering, and concessionary approach toward the country’s interests and sources of strength, and committed a gradual series of mistakes and sins, covering each sin with a bigger one, bringing Lebanon to the worst situation imaginable.
The authority is called upon to retreat from all that it has committed against the country and its people. The roadmap is now clear before it, and the enemy, through its daily massacres and violations, provides sufficient justification obliging it to retreat and annul the Framework Agreement entirely.
On the same matter, the Bloc stressed that this agreement is imposed unilaterally and cannot be implemented, due to its lack of any pact-based, constitutional, or legal standing. It said the enemy exploits it to commit crimes, legitimize its occupation, and attempt to annex a dear part of the homeland’s land. It affirmed the adherence of all villages of the South to their national belonging, and saluted the positions of municipalities and local actors rejecting what the head of the enemy government announced regarding annexing southern villages to its occupying entity.
Regarding attacks, the Bloc strongly condemned what it described as the “heinous crime of extermination” committed by the enemy through the targeting and killing of the educator and school principal Espranza Ghandour in al-Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, by targeting her car and assassinating her along with several members of her family. It said this crime should jolt the authority out of its “deep slumber” regarding the entrenched criminal nature of the enemy and its disregard for any agreement, covenant, or pact. It also deplored the authority’s silence over this crime and its failure to issue any statement, position, or take any measure reflecting concern for citizens’ security and safety.
At the conclusion of its statement, the Bloc condemned the silence of the authority and the international community regarding the crimes of bulldozing and demolition targeting entire neighborhoods in the occupied southern villages. It called for the broadest popular and international solidarity campaign with the people of those villages, and urged relevant international institutions to move immediately and exert maximum pressure on the enemy and punish its officials for their continued criminal excesses.
It affirmed that these crimes represent barbaric aggression, and that the authority must not downplay their description and reduce them to mere “military actions” calling for a halt. It considered that by doing so the authority has, unilaterally, begun to implement what it committed to in its political discourse, contrary to the truth.
