A Middle East Airlines plan coming from the Qatari capital and carrying 122 Lebanese on board has landed in Beirut, National News Agency correspondent reported Thursday afternoon.
The flight is part of the repatriation process of Lebanese emigrants and students aboard amid coronavirus lockdown measures.
Lebanese health teams along with army and security personnel at Beirut International Airport had prepared to receive the third batch of Lebanese expatriates returning from corona-hit countries.
Middle East Airlines (MEA) flights are scheduled to carry Lebanese expats returning from Doha, Frankfurt, Accra and London throughout the day.
The first batch of Lebanese expatriates returned home on Sunday, while the second arrived on Tuesday.
Lebanon has been under a lockdown since March 15, with its airport, seaports and land borders shutting down as of March 19, in measures aimed at stemming the spread of coronavirus.
