Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah said Wednesday that those who met in Berlin Conference on Libya earlier last week convened to protect their interests rather than to solve the current crisis in the north African country.
On the sidelines of Davos World Economic Forum 2020, the top Omani diplomat said on the current crises in the Middle East: “We feel that the sides who are involved in these confrontations want to control the strife rather than to put an end to it.”
“Even those who convened in Berlin, did so to protect their interests rather than to find a solution” to the crisis in Libya, he added.
