Lebanese President Michel Aoun is to start on Wednesday parliamentary consultations aimed at choosing a new prime minister.
Aoun, who was elected on Monday a new head of state, will begin consultations with lawmakers over their choice for prime minister.
Aoun will hold talks with former prime ministers: Tammam Salam, Najeeb Miqati, Fuad Seniora and Saad al-Hariri.
The newly elected president will meet then the parliamentary blocs: Future, FPM, Loyalty to Resistance, Lebanese forces, Michel Mur, Kataeb and several other blocs, Lebanese media reported.
Consultation with other parliamentary blocs and independent lawmakers will also take place on Thursday, according to local media.
