Scores of Saudi-led forces were killed or injured as Yemeni revolutionary forces fired mid-range ballistic missiles at Saudi base in the southwestern province of Jizan.
Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said late Wednesday the missile hit operations room at the air base, killing or injuring scores of Saudi-led forces and mercenaries, including commanders.
The ballistic missile accurately hit its targets and the launch took place following an intelligence operation, Al-Massirah TV channel quoted the spokesman as saying.
Earlier this week, Yemeni forces also fired a ballistic missile at a Saudi military parade in Marib, killing or injuring many of Saudi-led forces.
Houthis have recently stepped up missile and drone attacks at targets across Saudi Arabia, in retaliation for the Saudi-led aggression against the Arab impoverished country.
Yemen has been since March 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led Coalition, in a bid to restore control to fugitive Hadi who is Riyadh’s ally.
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured in the strikes launched by the coalition, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
The coalition, which includes in addition to Saudi Arabia and UAE: Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Kuwait, has been also imposing a harsh blockade against Yemenis.
