Iraqi foreign minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari said Thursday the US-led coalition actions in Syria required more coordination with Russia.
“Look what ISIL has done around the world. But, of course, they are destroyed in Iraq thanks to the efforts of the heroes of the Iraqi army,” Jaafari said at a press conference in Baghdad in reference to the so-called ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ terrorist group.
“Air group in the east of Syria continues bombing ISIL, and this requires further coordination of an international coalition with Russia,” the Iraqi official stressed.
