Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, reiterated during Wednesday’s weekly gathering that the state’s austerity measures would not target low and middle income state employees.

“The Parliament will deter any attempt to target these groups,” Berri affirmed, stressing the substantial need for contributions from everyone to salvage the economic situation.
