Hezbollah issued on Monday a statement in which it strongly condemned the Bahraini Court of Cassation’s sentence to life imprisonment against opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman and former deputies Sheikh Hassan Sultan and Ali Al-Aswad on charges of “communicating with the State of Qatar.”
The statement considered that “unfair” sentence reflects the Bahraini regime’s insistence on practicing oppression and aggression against the “honorable” Bahraini people.
The Bahraini regime resorts to polices full of malice and recklessness against the citizens who just demand their rights, according to the statement which added that the false accusations made by the court against Sheikh Salman and his two companions cannot weaken the free in Bahrain, but will enable them to have a harder determination to uphold their legitimate rights and noble goals.
Finally, Hezbollah considered that ending the crisis in Bahrain requires releasing the political prisoners, halting repression against the citizens and starting a national dialogue away from the dictates of the neighboring countries.
