The Head of the Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi, regretted UN’s “double standards” in dealing between the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Kashoggi and crimes committed by Saudi-led aggression in Yemen.
“While UN calls for an investigation into the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, it turns blind eye on crimes committed by Saudi aggression in Yemen as well as repeated calls for forming investigation committee on this issue,” Al-Houthis said in a statement late on Wednesday.
The Yemeni official also slammed the international community for keeping mum over “biased and unjust probes held by Saudi regime over its crimes in Yemen.”
“Every victim who had fallen by illegitimate Saudi-led strikes in Yemen deserves the same notice Khashoggi took, though the crimes in Yemen did not anger the international community as the murder of the Saudi journalist has done.”
