Future war of the USA against Russia and China will be rapid and will lead to heavy casualties. This opinion was expressed by American generals during the annual conference of the Association of the U.S. Army in Washington.
Addressing the gathering, chief of staff of the US Army said that the next world war is almost inevitable, writes The Independent.
Another participant of the conference, major General William Hicks said that any military conflict using conventional weapons in the future will occur very quickly and lead to numerous victims.
According to him, this is due to massive automation of weapons systems and the development of artificial intelligence. The General added that the success of Russian and Chinese military industrial complexes has forced Washington to start preparing for war on such a scale that the US army had not seen since the conflict on the Korean Peninsula.
This view is supported by Deputy chief of staff of the US Army Lieutenant General Joseph Anderson. He said that Washington is facing existential threats from certain countries, referring to Russia and China. According to him, their successes can cause US to lose control of the air.
We will note that earlier the head of the Pentagon Ashton Carter did not rule out that the United States can use nuclear weapons. However, he hinted that the most likely targets will be Russia and North Korea.
