Leader of Yemen’s Ansarulah revolutionary movement, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, received United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths on Thursday.
Sayyed Houthi stressed that the countries launching aggression against Yemen have been hindering the peace negotiations due to their intransigence.
Ansarullah leader told the UN envoy that the aggression powers have been rejecting comprehensive political solutions to the conflict in the Arab impoverished country, Yemeni sources reported.
As he confirmed Ansarullah’s positive position towards the UN envoy peace efforts, Sayyed Houthi stressed that such positivity should be met by similar stance by the aggression powers.
“Credibility and seriousness in the aggression countries to bring peace is essential for the success of any political consultations round,” Saba news agency quoted the Yemeni leader as saying.
Meanwhile, Sayyed Houthi stressed on the importance of tackling the humanitarian situation in Yemen, a press statement by spokesman of Ansaruallah, Mohammed Abdulsalam read.
Sayyed Houthi “called on the United Nations to maintain its balance and responsible dealing in the issue of aggression against Yemen and to play its role in accordance with its international conventions away from any bias towards the aggression forces,” the statement added.
