Iran’ President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday that his government is not going to resign.
Speaking during a conference in Tehran, President Rouhani said that the government relies on the Iranian nation and the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei to protect the national interests of the country.
“I don’t think even one of the 81 million Iranian population believes that Iran should bow to the aggressor, liar, impolite and insulter, and accept his words,” the president said.
The Iranian government is today in the frontline of the battle, President Rouhani said, expressing “readiness to sacrifice his life, fame and dignity for the sake of the country,” IRNA news agency reported.
The Iranian president noted meanwhile that today’s situation is different from that of yesterday, stressing that if the people are required to cut costs, the government is expected to do it first.
