President Michel Aoun on Monday maintained that the security chaos in the region of Baalbeck will not last and that the required measures have been tightened to restore stability and security to the city.
Accordingly, Aoun invited the sons of Baalbeck to collaborate with the security apparatuses, indicating that additional procedures will be adopted during the city’s international festivals.
The President made these remarks during his meeting with MP Ali Moqdad and a delegation of Baalbeck merchants and shop owners.
Separately, Aoun received a delegation of the French city of Saint-Etienne, to whom he highlighted the necessity to help Lebanon bear the burden caused by the massive presence of Syrian refugees on its soil.
