The Lebanese President General Michel Aoun vehemently condemned on Wednesday the ongoing developments in occupied Palestine, hailing the courageous reaction of the Palestinian people.
The President’s words came during the cabinet session, which stood for a moment of silence in tribute to the ill-fated events that are currently rocking Gaza of Palestine.
The President reiterated Lebanon’s utter refusal considering Al-Quds as the capital of Israel. “Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil will represent Lebanon at the Urgent Islamic Summit in Istanbul next Friday,” Aoun added.
In turn, Prime Minister Saad Hariri dismissed what is happening in the Gaza Strip as a “great crime” and a “conspiracy” dating back many years, to gradually reach the Palestinian territories.
“The cabinet’s position is firm and serious on this issue,” Hariri said, noting that the Council of Ministers has adopted the entire speech of President Aoun in this regard.
