Russia is unlikely to try to limit Israeli military actions in Syria, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Previous speculation that Moscow, which is trying to stabilize Syria, would block Israeli cross-border strikes had proven false “and I have no basis to think that this time will be different,” Netanyahu told reporters in a phone briefing.
