The Iraqi military and security forces managed on Friday to regain control over Alton Kubri, the last separatist bastion in Kirkuk, which is 50 kilometers away from Erbil, the largest city in Kurdistan.
A military commander told AFP that the Iraqi forces managed to storm Al-Tun Kobri after clashes with the separatist fighters, raising the national flag over the public buildings.
