The Lebanese President, Michel Aoun, confirmed Saturday Lebanon’s strategy in preserving its borders with Syria and staying away from its internal political affairs.
In an interview to the French News daily, Le Figaro, President Aoun indicated that “Lebanon has enjoyed stability throughout the war in Syria, despite the rising rhetorical tension triggered by some Lebanese politicians, and has succeeded in maintaining its national unity.”
“Efforts are underway to support the Lebanese army to protect all citizens,” he added.
