Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the United States is protecting the terrorist groups in Syria, such as Nusra Front, from  airstrikes.

Lavrov said during a press conference with his Ethiopian counterpart that the US sponsorship of terrorists has recently appeared as it protects the Fatah al-Sham Front (previously Nusra Front) from the aerial bombardment.

Lavrov stressed that this violates all international conventions and laws, calling for the need to eliminate double standards and unclear ideas in the fight against terrorism.
