Al Nusra terrorist group received a severe blow in Aleppo countryside on Wednesday as a number of commanders of the so-called Jaish Al-Fatah were confirmed killed by a recent air strike.
The attack targeted a gathering of the terrorist commanders, leaving one of Jaish Al-Fatah founders and its general official killed, as well as the Al Nusra military commander aka Abu Omar Saraqeb and a military official aka Abu Muslim Al Shami.
The Syrian Army and allied forces restored full control over several areas in the southern parts of Aleppo city and in Aleppo southern countryside after severe battles and standoffs, inflicting heavy losses upon Jaish al-Fatah and Al Nusra terrorists.
Aleppo has been divided since 2012 between government forces in the west and the Takfiri terrorists in the east. The Syrian forces have been since July engaged in a major operation to liberate the militant-held areas of the city as well as the province with the same name.
The battle for Aleppo is a complex one as the government is engaged in fighting with an array of foreign-backed insurgents.
