An Israeli aerial attack on an apartment and a car in Beirut’s Dahiyeh on Tuesday claimed the deputy chief of Hamas politburo Martyr Sheikh Saleh Arouri.
A loud explosion resulted from the raid which claimed five other martyrs and damaged a number of buildings in the nearby.
Two of Al-Qassam Brigades commanders Samir Fandi and Azzam Al-Aqraa were martyred in the Zionist attack.
Hamas Movement issued a statement to mourn the martyrs Arouri, Fandi, and Al-Aqraa, adding that the attack also claimed Martyr Mahmoud Zaki Shahin, Martyr Mohammad Bshasha, Martyr Mohammad Al-Rees, and Martyr Ahmad Hamoud.
Palestinian Resistance Factions
The Palestinian Resistance factions issued a statement which mourns martyr Arouri and stressed that the Palestinians will continue following the path of resistance despite all the Zionist crimes.
The statement called on the Palestinian crowds in the occupied West Bank to escalate the confrontation with the Zionist enemy in response to the raid which is considered an aggression on all the Arab and Islamic Umma.
Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh mourned the “martyr, the fighter,, the great national figure, Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, and the Qassam leaders Samir Vundi and Azzam Al-Aqraa, along with a group of martyrs due to a cowardly Zionist operation in Beirut”.
Who is Martyr Arouri?
Saleh Arouri was born on August 19, 1961 in Ramallah. He was graduated from Al-Khalil University where he studied Islamic Sharia. The Israeli enemy considers Arouri as one of the founders of Al-Qassam Brigades.
After spending 18 years inside the Israeli dungeons, Arouri was deported to Syria in 2010.
The Israeli enemy demolished his house in 2014 in Aroura area, northwestern Ramallah.
In 2017, martyr Arouri was elected as the deputy chief of Hamas politburo.
Condemnations
The Lebanese caretaker prime minister Najib Mikati denounced the Israeli attack, warning against the enemy’s scheme to expand the fight zone due to the failure in Gaza.
Yemen’s Ansarullah spokesman Mohammad Abdul Salam condemned the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, reiterating solidarity with the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance groups.
Hamas commander Ezzat Al-Rashq emphasized that the Israeli assassination policy will not prevent the Palestinian people from pursuing the path of resistance.
