Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in the Qatari capital of Doha to discuss developments of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The resistance is still steadfast and strong in the battlefield as it inflicted heavy losses upon the Zionist entity even after 75 days of Zionist aggression and the expansion of its air, sea and land campaigns against the people of Gaza,” Haniyeh told the top Iranian diplomat.
“The Palestinian people have demonstrated a unique resistance and continue to follow the path of resistance until the defeat of the Zionist entity,” Haniyeh said, as he hailed sacrifices offered by the Palestinian people.
For his part, a spokesperson for Iran’s foreign ministry, Nasser Kanaani, said the meeting focused on the latest political developments and the situation on the ground in Palestine.
“Haniyeh spoke about the high morale and aspirations of the resistance in the field,” the Iranian diplomat said.
He noted that Haniyeh said Hamas is ready for a cease-fire, but the resistance movement will not negotiate under Israeli attacks.
