House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Thursday welcomed at his Ain al-Tineh residence a delegation of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers partaking in the opening ceremony of “Beirut, the capital of Arab youth in 2023” headed by Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi.
“This current stage requires of all of us to promote a culture of dialogue and investment based on sincere wills between Arab brothers in order to enable us to overcome the challenges that threaten Lebanon and the region,” Speaker Berri said, wishing of Arab youth ministers to discuss in their agenda the idea of establishing an Arab youth parliament.
The Lebanese youth and sports minister George Kallas said the delegation were honored by the meeting with Speaker Berri, stressing the importance of the cooperation between Lebanon and the Arab states.
