Deputy Chief of Hezbollah Executive Council Sheikh Ali Daamoush stressed that marking Ashura anniversary is aimed at achieving its religious, educational, political, jihadi and instructional benefits.
Delivering his Friday sermon at Sayyeda Zainab (A.S.) Complex in Beirut’s Dahiyeh, Sheikh Daamoush indicated that Ashura is a school that teaches lessons of life and affects the minds and hearts of people.
Sheikh Daamoush underlined the importance of attending Ashura ceremonies and events directly, stressing that this deepens the religious commitment.
Politically, Sheikh Daamoush highlighted the bleak scene in Lebanon characterized by the presidential deadlock and exacerbated by the socioeconomic crisis as well as the calls for federalism and decentralization.
Sheikh Daamoush affirmed the such calls discourage coexistence and national unity in Lebanon, adding that accusing Hezbollah and Amal Movement of plotting a constitutional amendment is aimed at provoking the Lebanese against them.
