Yemeni Armed Forces said huge losses were inflicted upon UAE-led mercenaries and ISIL terrorists in the southern province of Shabwa, warning Abu Dhabi of serious consequences of its aggression.
In a press conference on Wednesday, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said hundreds of the mercenaries have been killed in the latest days in dozens of missile strikes launched by Yemeni revolutionaries.
More than 515 mercenaries and terrorists were killed, above 850 were injured, and at least 200 are missing during missile strikes that targeted their gatherings, according to Saree.
The spokesman further unveiled that the Yemeni forces destroyed more than 102 vehicles and armored vehicles, in addition to many large and advanced cannons belonging to the UAE-led forces.
“The Yemeni Army along with the Popular Committees are still scoring epic victories while confronting Daesh terrorists and the UAE-led mercenaries,” the spokesman went on to say.
Saree warned that “the repercussions of this UAE escalation will be tough on them and they should bear the responsibility of what they are doing.”
Yemen has been since March 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led Coalition, in a bid to restore control to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is Riyadh’s ally
Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured in the strikes launched by the coalition, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
