Israeli warplanes launched two air strikes on south Lebanon early on Thursday, in a clear violation of the country’s sovereignty.
Al-Manar reporter in south Lebanon said the strikes hit an open area near Dimashqiyyah in the outskirts of Al-Mahmoudiyyah town.
The Israeli aggression is the first aerial one since the 2006 July War. It comes a day after Israeli artillery shelled several areas across south Lebanon.
Israeli media claimed that three rockets were fired from Lebanon hit the Israeli settlement of Kiryat Shmona.
