President Michel Aoun received on Friday the State Prosecutor Ghassan Oueidat at Baabda Palace, voicing readiness to testify in the case of Beirut Port explosion.
Aoun informed Oueidat during the meeting of his readiness to give his testimony in the port blast case if the investigative judge decides to hear his it.
MP Ali Hassan Khalil stated that, in accordance with the remarks of President Aoun, it is no longer justifiable to reject lifting the immunity of everyone, without any exception.
On August 4, 2020, a massive blast rocked Beirut Port blast, killing around 195 citizens and injuring over 6000 of others. The explosion also caused much destruction in the capital and its suburbs.
