Head of Loyalty to Resistance bloc, Hajj Mohammad Raad, welcomed on Thursday at the headquarters of the bloc the French President Emanuel Macron’s advisor for Near Eastern affairs, Patrick Dorrell, knowing that the meeting was not followed by any statement.
In a short chat with the reporter, MP Raad said that Dorrell’s mission regarding the cabinet formation is exploratory, adding that the meeting confirmed commitment to the French initiative and the reform paper concluded at the Pine Palace.
MP Raad pointed out that Dorrell stressed the importance of Hezbollah contribution to the efforts aimed at creating the new government, confirming that the party will cooperate as much as possible.
Meanwhile, Head of Hezbollah bloc denied the rumors which claimed EU would sanction those involved in hindering the cabinet formation.
It is worth noting that Dorrell arrived in Beirut on Wednesday in the context of a French endeavor to enhance the cabinet formation.
