US troops from the peacekeeping contingent were injured on Thursday in a helicopter crash in South Sinai.
The helicopter crashed as a result of a technical malfunction, according to Sky-News-Arabia TV.
According to some media reports, the helicopter belonged to the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO); five who were seriously wounded were to be transferred to Soroka Medical Center.
Reports Claim Five Americans, a French national and a Czech citizen died as a result of a crash.
The MFO, which monitors compliance with the 1979 Egypt-Israel peace treaty, includes several hundred US troops.
