Yemen’s revolutionary forces announced on Thursday they have hit an important target in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Thursday using a ballistic missile and drones.
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Dul-Faqqar ballistic missile and three Samad3 drones attacked an important target in Riyadh, without giving more details.
“The attacks are a response to the enemy’s permanent escalation and its continuing blockade against our country,” Sarea said in a statement posted on Twitter.
He promised more attacks if Saudi Arabia continues its aggression against Yemen.
Yemeni forces hit Abha Airport for three consecutive days since Monday. Drones hit several military and sensitive targets in the airport.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab impoverished country has been also under harsh blockade b the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
