The House of Parliament on Thursday convened in session at the UNESCO palace under the chairmanship of House Speaker, Nabih Berri.
During the session, the Lebanese Parliament approved a decree declaring a state of emergency in Beirut.
Moreover, MPs agreed to open a legislative session and approved the suspension of loan deadlines.
The Parliament also approved the exemption of the heirs of the explosion victims from inheritance fees, and approved a law proposal authorizing the Ministry of Education to issue certificates for the 2019-2020 academic year.
On the other hand, the Parliament took note of the resignations that had been submitted by 8 MPs, and which have became immediately effective.
