House Speaker Nabih Berri addressed the nation on the 14th anniversary of 2006 Victory, stressing that the resistance fighters along with the army and people managed to prove the failure of the Israeli hostility “which was defeated by the Lebanese will and determination to emerge victorious despite all the enemy’s massacres”.
Speaker Berri noted that the economic siege and sanctions are imposed on Lebanon because of its support to the Palestinian cause, confirming that the Lebanese can never abandon the path which backs the Palestinians and their rights.
Speaker Berri also mentioned that Beirut will certainly be able to overcome the deathly challenge of the massive blast and move into better stages of hope.
