Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hasan, said Wednesday that there is no community spread of the novel coronavirus in Lebanon to date, renewing calls to commit to confinement and lockdown measures.
“I would like to reassure you that during our field tours in Akkar, Bcharre, Sidon and Tyre, we took random samples and there are no positive case until now,” Hassan told reporters outside the Constitutional Council, where he’d been for asset declaration.
Lebanon has so far recorded 658 coronavirus cases amid a state of public mobilization which has curbed the outbreak of the pandemic.
