President Masoud Pezeshkian has stressed the importance of economic diplomacy, dialogue and national unity amid sanctions and wartime conditions.
Speaking in a meeting on Thursday, Pezeshkian said economic diplomacy has been strengthened through increased engagement with neighboring countries and reduced customs barriers to expand exports, imports, and economic cooperation via land routes.
The president stressed Iran’s commitment to dialogue and negotiations, saying the United States and Europe did not expect Iran to be able to manage the country under wartime conditions.
He said the resistance of the people and Armed Forces had strengthened national unity and cohesion, adding that the United States should abandon the notion that it can bring Iran to its knees through assassinations.
Pezeshkian said the United States seeks to create crises through sanctions and restrictions, but unity and coordination can thwart such efforts.
