Number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Lebanon reached 93 on Saturday, the Health Ministry announced, urging citizens to remain at home in bid to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
Sixteen new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, up from 77 cases at noon Friday, the ministry said, noting that the number of infections includes patients diagnosed at the Rafik Hariri University Hospital and a number of other university hospitals.
Stressing importance of abiding by “strict measures issued by the official references,” the ministry called on Lebanese citizens to stay home “unless absolutely necessary.”
So far, three people have died from the disease, and one person has made a full recovery.
