The Ministry of Public Health issued its daily statement on Covid-19, stressing that no new cases had been reported to date and reporting a third case of death.

The statement read:

“To date (March 12, 2020 noontime), there is a total of 61 confirmed cases of Covid-19, including those diagnosed at the Rafic Hariri University Hospital and at other university hospitals.

This morning, a new death was recorded for a 79-year-old patient who had a terminal illness and had contracted the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to three.”
