Syrian army and allied forces managed on Wednesday to establish control over the strategic Hikmah height in southwestern Aleppo, RIA Novosti reported.
“Our troops arrived at the school walls at the Hikmah height overnight. The resistance was strong, We were able to break through the enemy defenses together with army units. We have cleared nearly everything now,” the source said.
On Tuesday, the Syrian military regained full control over the 1070-Apartment complex and the surrounding farms and hills southwest Aleppo city, amid a continuous counter-terrorism operations across the country.
Earlier on Monday, Syrian army restored the two hills of Al-Rakhem and Al-Rahba west of Aleppo after fierce clashes with the armed groups, and continues to chase terrorists who escaped from Al-Rakhem hill toward Rashideen-4 and Rashideen-5 areas.
