Yemeni drones staged new attack on King Khaled Air Base in Saudi’s Khamis Mushait, targeting the communication system and warplanes’ runways in the base.
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that Yemeni drones Qasif K-2 have carried out a wide-scale offensive operation on King Khaled Air Base early Tuesday, al-Masira TV reported.
The drones accurately hit their targets, striking the communication system and the warplanes’ runways, Saree said, as quoted by Al-Massirah TV channel.
The spokesman added, meanwhile, that the attack was in retaliation for the Saudi continuous blockade and aggression, noting that the number of the strikes in the last 12 hours reached 40, according to al-Masira TV.
The Yemeni forces have been intensifying drone attacks on King Khaled Air Base in a bid to make it out of service as it is the most important Saudi air base used for attacking Yemeni people.
