Lebanese security sources said that the shooting at the Lebanese-Palestinian border occurred when a Zionist soldier shot himself accidentally during the periodical maintenance of the fence located between the Lebanese Odaisseh town and the Metula settlement inside the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Zionist soldiers opened fire onto a car in the Lebanese border town of Kfarkila.
Earlier, Lebanese army statement said there was no truth to the Zionist reports that shots had been fired from a car inside Lebanon at a Zionist soldier.
A Zionist army statement said a soldier was wounded on Wednesday by shots fired from a vehicle traveling in Lebanon along a border fence, and troops returned fire.
“Troops who fired back at the vehicle had “confirmed a hit,” the statement read.
A later statement by the enemy’s entity said Zionist soldiers spotted the car again after it sped away and engaged it in a second exchange of fire, confirming more hits.
Lebanon’s political echelon has yet to comment on the incident and to take the necessary actions required to deal with such a flagrant breach of UNSC resolution 1701.
State of confusion prevailed among Zionist occupation forces at the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine as reinforcement unit arrived at the scene.
