Terrorists breached ceasefire in Aleppo shortly after it went into effect on Thursday.
Al-Manar correspondent in Aleppo reported that when the humanitarian pause took effect at 8:00 8 ambulance vehicles crossed Jandoul roundabout into militants’ stronghold east of city.
Our correspondent reported that the Syrian army and security forces were on alert in a bid to help civilians trapped in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo to get out. They called civilians through loudspeakers to flee.
The Syrian army also called on militants to lay down arms and to get out through specified crossings, according to our correspondent.
However the terrorists shelled Bustan al-Qasr crossing in a bid to prevent civilians from leaving the devastated city, al-Manar correspondent said, adding that the militants also fired gun shots in the area.
Earlier, the Syrian army said it was opening eight corridors to provide safe passage for those leaving.
Russia also announced it would prolong the truce from eight to 11 hours, and said Syrian and Russian warplanes were giving Aleppo a wide berth.
