The media office of the Lebanese Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, issued on Friday a statement which denies the information included in another statement issued by the Organizing Committee of the Arab Economic Summit.
“To clarify what was mentioned in the statement of the economic summit Organizing Committee, specifically on the subject of inviting Libya to the summit and not Syria, the media office of Speaker Nabih Berri stresses that this information is fabricated and completely groundless.
(…) On the contrary, the Minister of Finance has visited the President upon the request of Speaker Berri to protest the invitations addressed to the Libyans. That’s everything till now.”
