The majority of the legislative council in Gaza approved on Wednesday the revocation of Head of the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ legitimacy in a direct response to his move of dissolving the parliament.

Gaza parliamentarians considered that Abbas has lost his political eligibility, demanding the Arab countries to restrict his actions in this regard.

MP Khalil Al-Hayya stated that Abbas has been in office for 19 years although his legal term can be at maximum 8 years, adding that he destroyed the national unity and negatively affected the resistance.
