The Kremlin announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not meet with Israeli Air Force commander over the downing of a Russian aircraft during an Israeli missile strike in Syria.
The Kremlin released a statement saying that Putin will not meet with Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin who is in Moscow to present Russian officials with the findings of the report into the downing of a Russian IL-20 aircraft.
Earlier on Monday night (September 17), Russian aircraft, with 15 Russian soldiers abroad, was accidentally hit by Syrian anti-aircraft fire during an Israeli missile strike in Syria’s Latakia.
Russia blamed the Zionist entity’s “deliberate provocation” for the incident, accusing Israeli military planes of creating a “dangerous” situation in Latakia.
