Rocketry Force in Yemeni Army fired a ballistic missile on a Saudi radar base in Khamis Mushait on Saturday.
According to Yemeni sources, the revolutionary forces fired a single ‘Bader-1’ solid fuel ballistic missile, targeting a radar base in Khamis Mushait.
“The missile hit the target precisely,” military officials said in a statement, according to Yemen’s Saba news agency.
This is the second time that the Yemeni revolutionaries target the radar base in Khamis Mushait. Earlier in April, ballistic missile was launched on the base, according to Yemen’s Al-Massirah TV channel.
For its part, the Saudi-led Arab coalition claimed it had intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen at a “civilian area.”
“No casualties were reported,” a spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Col. Turki Al-Malki, said in a statement, carried by the Saudi official SPA news agency.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition, which also includes UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Sudan and Kuwait, in a bid to restore power to fugitive former president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been injured and martyred in Saudi-led strikes, with the vast majority of them are civilians.
However, the allied forces of the Yemeni Army and popular committees established by Ansarullah revolutionaries have been heroically confronting the aggression with all means, inflicting huge losses upon Saudi-led forces.
