February 14 coalition member, Diaa al-Bahrani denounced as “disgusting and mean” remarks made by Bahraini foreign minister who praised ex-Israeli president Shimon Peres.
Talking to al-Manar, al-Bahrani stressed that Bahraini people would never ever offer condolences over the death of Peres, who died on Wednesday.
Al-Bahrani was referring to remarks made by Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed al-Khalifa who described Peres as a “man of peace”.
“Rest in Peace President Shimon Peres, a Man of War and a Man of the still elusive Peace in the Middle East,” the Bahraini FM wrote on his Twitter account.
In his remarks to al-Manar the Bahraini opposition official said the FM’s condolences represent the harmony between Al-Khalifa regime and the Zionist entity.
The FM’s remarks prove that Al-KHalifa regime is no more embarrassed of its “warm” relation with the Zionist regime, pretending to have forgotten the tens of thousands of martyrs who have been killed by the Israelis in Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan, al-Bahrani told al-Manar.
Meanwhile, al-Bahrani assured that the Bahraini people has been and will go on with its support to resistance groups in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.
