Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned that with moving ISIL Takfiri group to Afghanistan, the US is pursuing its goal of justifying its presence in the region and providing security for the Zionist regime.
“The same hands that created ISIL and turned it into a tool of oppression and crime against the people of Syria and Iraq are now- after ISIL’s defeat in Syria and Iraq- trying to move the Takfiri group to Afghanistan; recent massacres are actually the onset of the plan,” Imam Khamenei said in his Fiqh class on Tuesday.
Stressing that the US-backed terrorists don’t distinguish between Shiites and Sunnis, the Leader said, “They target both Shia and Sunni civilians.”
Imam Khamenei also said that the first priority in US policy is making the people of the region tied up with each other.
“The US wishes the region would never calm down, and the governments and the people of the region would be busy with each other, so that they never think about countering the arrogance’s wicked agent in the region, i.e. the Zionist regime.”
His eminence reiterated that the Americans themselves are the main source of insecurity in Afghanistan, and the slaughters that have taken place in the name of religion in the past 20 years were carried out directly or indirectly by the US agents.
“Now they are after justifying their presence through creating insecurity to reach their political and economic goals,” said Imam Khamenei.
