The Lebanese Army announced Tuesday night that its units seized an arms warehouse in the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Arsal.
While patrolling the area, an Army Intelligence unit at 4 p.m. Tuesday found explosive devices ready to be detonated that were seized in Wadi Hmayyed, an Army statement read.
The weapons cache included explosive devices, shells filled with explosive material and aluminum powder for explosives, among other things.
Militants mainly belonging to Nusra Front had been entrenched on Arsal’s outskirts before they were pushed out.
