ISIL Takfiri group announced the death of its self-proclaimed leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi in a brief statement, Iraq’s Sumaria News reported on Tuesday.
The Iraqi Television cited a source in Nineveh province as saying that ISIL militants issued a brief statement announcing that their leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead and the name of the “new caliph” will be announced later.
Russian Defense Ministry reported in the middle of June that, according to preliminary information, Al-Baghdadi and 300 gunmen had been killed by a Russian airstrike in Syria in late May.
