Hezbollah congratulated on Monday the dean of Palestinian women prisoners, Lina Al-Jarbouni, on her release. The Lebanese resistance party also hailed what it called the intifada (uprising) of Palestinian prisoners who are on a hunger strike.
In a statement released by the party’s Media Relations office, Hezbollah praised Jarbouni who was released on Sunday after being jailed for fifteen years in the Israeli prisons.
“Jarbouni struggled for fifteen years in the Zionist occupation jails. She was honorably released, raising the banner of Palestine, which she has never abandoned throughout years of detention by criminal Zionist gangs.”
Hezbollah, meanwhile, said that Jarbouni represents the faithful, steadfast and struggler woman who doesn’t yield during torture and detention, noting that this determination represents the real Palestinian stance throughout years of confrontation with the Israeli occupation.
On the other hand, Hezbollah hailed the Intifada of Palestinian prisoners who are going on a hunger strike in the Israeli jails, calling on Arab and Muslim nations to voice solidarity with them.
“This uprising is the real identity of the Palestinian people, as it needs a wide range of support by Arabs and Muslims.”
