The speech is expected to address the latest developments and the occasion which follows this year a historic war with the Zionist during which Hezbollah made heavy sacrifices topped by the martyrdom of its great leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and his Hashemite companion Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
Sheikh Qassem affirmed on Sunday, February 2, that the Islamic resistance will persist, unwavering in its path and beliefs, stressing that “foreign intervention leads to subservience, humiliation, and the solidification of the Israeli occupation.” He also announced that the funeral procession of the great martyr, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, will take place on Sunday, February 23, emphasizing that it will serve as a renewed pledge to uphold the path of resistance.”
In a televised speech via Al-Manar TV, Sheikh Qassem announced that the official funeral for the greatest martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
February 16 is the martyrdom anniversary of Hezbollah’s Leaders, Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi and Hajj Imad Mughniyeh, all were assassinated by the Zionist enemy throughout different years of confrontation, but in the same week.
Sheikh Ragheb Harb was assassinated by an Israeli agent on February 16, 1984.
Late Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Abbas al-Mousawi was martyred, along with his wife and son, when an Israeli airstrike attacked his convoy as he was attending the commemoration anniversary of Sheikh Harb on February 16, 1992.
Later on February 12, 2008, Hezbollah’s top military commander Hajj Imad Moghniyeh was martyred in a car bomb attack carried out by Israeli Mossad agents.
