Palestinian people are heroically confronting the Israeli aggression on Monday, the third day of the history-making battle of Al-Aqsa Flood. More than 48 hours have passed on the surprise operation, and despite the brutal Israeli raids, Gaza fighters are still pouring into the Israeli settlements bordering Gaza in an unprecedent incursion into the Palestinian territories since they were occupied in 1948.
Israeli occupation army announced on Monday that the fighting with Palestinian resistance fighters was still in seven to eight locations around the Gaza Strip inside the occupied territories.
“We’re still fighting. There are between seven to eight open places around Gaza (where) we have still warriors fighting terrorists,” military spokesman Richard Hecht told reporters.
“We thought by yesterday we would have full control,” he added, hoping that the occupation army “will control by the end of the day.”
Meanwhile, the Sderot municipality ordered Israeli settlers there to remain locked in their homes due to “fears of a security incident.”
The Times of Israel then reported that Israeli occupation forces engaged in a shootout with several Hamas fighters at a municipal swimming pool in Sderot. Casualties were also reported.
Brutal Massacres
On the other hand, the occupation forces continued their aggression against Gaza, with multiple new massacres causing dozens of deaths and injuries.
Late Sunday and early Monday, raids were renewed in northeastern and northwestern regions of Gaza, targeting citizens’ homes, mosques and public institutions with violent and indiscriminate bombings using concussive missiles.

The raids also saw the targeting of the Abu Hilal family in Rafah, which resulted in a number of martyrs and injuries. Reports suggested that up to 18 people have been killed in this raid, with some still missing under rubble.
Additionally, a local center in Khan Governorate was targeted, killing five Palestinian citizens.
Other areas of Gaza were also affected by the Israeli aggression, with the Fayyad family home in Deirah and a house in the Canaan area of Beit Lahia both targeted.

Meanwhile, civil defense crews continued to work to extract those injured from under the rubble of homes and other targeted areas.

The Israeli gunboats also fired shells towards the shores of Gaza City during the latest wave of bombings. Ambulance crews were struggling to reach the bombing sites due to the intensification of the raids, with several main roads destroyed.
For its part, Palestinian Health Ministry in the besieged enclave put the number of martyrs at 436, including 91 children and 61 women. It announced that the number of injured neared 2,300.
This comes as Israeli media confirmed that the number of Israeli deaths rose to more than 700. The Zionist entity’s Health Ministry announced that as of Monday morning 2,382 Israelis “have been treated in hospitals in Israel for wounds they sustained in the war.”
“22 of them are in critical condition while 345 are seriously injured,” the ministry added.
